H-60 Variants


The H-60 family of medium-lift helicopters consists of several types of aircraft, used by different branches of the military, for different roles and missions. These include air assault, air cavalry, aeromedical evacuation, anti-submarine warfare, search and rescue, drug interdiction, anti-ship warfare, cargo lift and special operations.

UH-60M Black Hawk

The UH-60 Black Hawk is a utility tactical transport helicopter that replaces the UH-1. The versatile Black Hawk has enhanced the overall mobility of The Army, due to dramatic improvements in troop capacity and cargo lift capability. On the asymmetric battlefield, it provides the commander the agility to get to the fight quicker and to mass effects throughout the battlespace across the full spectrum of conflict.

HH-60M Medevac

The HH-60M Medevac, the medical evacuation version of the UH-60M Black Hawk, includes a full medical evacuation mission equipment package in the cabin area, integrated Forward Looking Infrared Radar (FLIR) and an onboard oxygen generating system.

MH-60R Seahawk

The MH–60R Seahawk (aka Romeo) Multi-Mission Helicopter is a twin-engine anti-submarine warfare (ASW) and anti-surface warfare (ASuW) helicopter. The MH-60R is equipped with fully-integrated avionics and mission systems which make it a formidable airborne multi-mission naval platform.

HH-60M Pave Hawk

The HH-60M Pave Hawk is the U.S. Air Force combat search and rescue (CSAR) version of the Army's UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter. It is a four bladed, twin engine, single-rotor helicopter that is designed to carry a crew of four and a combat-equipped squad of 11 or an equal cargo load.
