30×173mm cartridges are used by the Mk44 Bushmaster II and the GAU-8 Avenger Gatling Cannon. The family of rounds include, among others, target practice, high explosive incendiary, programmable air burst munitions and Depleted Uranium penetrator cartridges.
The MK264 Multipurpose Low Drag - Tracer cartridge provides light armor piercing capability with a delayed explosive reaction using a chemical fuze. It is available with and without self-destruct functionality.
The MK266 High Explosive Incendiary - Tracer cartridge provides the accuracy and lethality for light materiel, antipersonnel and fire suppression roles. As opposed to the MK238, thisa round does not have a self-destruct function.
The MK268 Armor Piercing Fin Stabilized Discarding Sabot with Trace (APFSDS-T) cartridge uses a tungsten penetrator which offers significant penetration capability.
The MK310 Programmable Air Burst Munition - Tracer cartridge is a versatile round, offering air burst, point detonate and point detonate with delay fuze settings. It van provide lethal suppressive firethrough its air burst function or it can be used to penetrate light armor vehicles or reinforced concrete walls. It also has the capability to delay detonation, allowing it to penetrate a wall and detonate behind the wall or inside a room for lethal effect.
The PGU13D/B cartridge uses the M505 fuze, providing a high explosive round that has been used by the U.S. Air Force extensively in the GAU-8 Avenger Gatling Cannon.
The PGU14/B Armor Piercing Incendiary round has a lightweight body which contains a sub-caliber high density penetrator of Depleted Uranium (DU). In addition to its penetrating capability, DU is a natural pyrophoric material which enhances the incendiary effects. This round has been used by the U.S. Air Force extensively in the GAU-8 Avenger Gatling Cannon.
